How I set them
On the usual domestic tariff the cheapest hours are midnight to 8 a.m. and all weekend. I set schedules and running times from each device's real consumption and what the pool or house needs in each season.

I work with measurements: power analyser, insulation tester up to 1000 V, leakage clamp and thermal camera. What I find, you get in writing.
