How I work
On the phone I ask what happened and give you the call-out price before I set off. On site I locate the fault by measuring, isolate the damaged part and restore power to the rest of the installation whenever it is safe.
The final repair is done on the spot if it's simple, or on a fixed quote if it needs parts or more time.

What should I do until you arrive?
Don't keep resetting an RCD that trips straight away. If there is a burning smell or heat, switch off the main switch if you can do so safely.

It depends on the distance and the time of day. I give you the call-out price on the phone before I set off.
